My husband put this together entirely by himself in two days he did an amazing job considering he's almost 70 years old. Yes you can DIY!!!

The DIY Assembly is not for the faint of heart. It took about 6-7 hours to complete. Part of the time consuming aspect was ascertaining that the directions need to be updated. On p.4 (shown in photo), the directions call for shelves to be used as spacers. Shelves in those dimensions don’t exist in the current DreamBox. We measured all the shelves (and then remeasured!) to make absolutely sure. We then pondered whether or not we may have been short some pieces. Finally we came to the conclusion that the directions must be wrong. My husband then used one of the included shelf pieces (too narrow for the spacing required), plus two broken halves of a Create Room sign from the pallet the DreamBox was shipped on, to rig up an appropriate substitute for the nonexistent shelf called for in the directions. It’s very likely that the current directions are for an older version of the DreamBox, since this was not the only time in which there were slight discrepancies that could’ve been attributed to a different model. Sadly, I saw another reviewer stymied by this issue. Assuming there were indeed missing pieces, they were unable to move forward from p.4 and had their DreamBox in pieces for several days (probably longer, as I didn’t get my “please review” email from Create Room until 2 months after receiving my DreamBox). If you’ve already had to set aside a Saturday to put this behemoth together only to encounter such a setback so early on, that’s a huge disappointment. Condolences to you, my friend. The second issue we encountered (also shown in photo) was that one of the predrilled holes that a table lock fits into is off. No matter how much finagling, it simply does not fit. The other side fits just fine, so the functionality is unaffected. If one side is locked, the table stays up securely. Also, I don’t really use this function, as the main purpose seems to be for holding the table up to fiddle with the legs, which could actually be really helpful for someone with mobility issues. However, as you can see in videos, locking the table up at a 45 degree angle is not a necessary step in everyday setup. Just the fact that the hole was off was frustrating. We started second guessing whether or not we’d put it all together correctly. Checked, double-checked, and triple-checked. There’s nothing we could’ve done to fudge that up. That predrilled hole is off. Another annoyance is that there is a clasp/latch you can mount to the top of the unit to keep it closed while not in use. This is something that’s only available without the crown light. I asked my husband to mount the clasp since we have small children, but alas! It is not functional. The doors to the DreamBox do not fully close. There’s a perpetual gap that is narrow at the top of the doors and wide at the bottom. (The asymmetry is not something you can unsee!) I normally keep it open, but the inability to fully close it is a bummer. I thought the clasp would help, but we’d need three people for it to work: one on each side to squeeze the doors shut, and another on a step stool to force the clasp shut. My husband is 5’7” and cannot reach the clasp easily without a step stool. To be clear, there are no protrusions that would prevent the box from closing properly. I know this issue with the doors not fully closing and sitting open asymmetrically is something other DreamBox owners have also complained of. My husband did most of the assembly, and he suggested 3 stars (“It’s okay”) instead of 2 (“Didn’t like it”). He’s a handy guy and very familiar with building and constructing things, so “it was okay” for him. If one entire page of directions is wrong though, something is NOT okay. Sticking to my guns with “Didn’t like it.”

The instructions have been a real issue - pieces are hard to find and understanding exactly what the instructions mean is hard. Not all the pieces are in one bundle, or there are extra pieces in a bundle that we have no idea what they are for. Add to that we had to find updated instructions, since the old set of instructions were sent with our product. We are still in the middle of building it because of the confusion. We are still excited for the product, but it’s been hard putting it together when the instructions need several of us just to translate it. I hope this review can get some improvement on that part, and make it easier for future buyers.

Instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. I was able to assemble it by myself with all of the right tools including a driver/impact driver in about 8 hours. Had an issue with alignment of the safety clasp that I had to drill new holes for. I am going to ask for a replacement table to fix as I am afraid that it is not safe.

Wasn't as bad as I thought! Delivery guy said he only delivers 1 pre assembled box every few months so I wasn't missing out and saved a couple hundred dollars!

I LOVE my Dream Box! It fits all of my crafting supplies and more. My favorite part is being able to fit the smaller containers inside the medium and large ones. It helps me keep supplies for one type of project (say embossing - the powders are on the bottom of the bin, and then two smaller bins hold the embossing tool and embossing pens.) I love having things so organized and easy to find. Yes it was a lot of money but it was worth it. The DreamBox is made with high quality materials, all of the pieces are labeled and the instructions are easy to follow. The parts were packaged and sorted really well. We had ONE hole that wasn't drilled all the way through, and ONE missing hole. My husband put it together in 6 hours (over 2 evenings after work). I'm a paper crafter, Mixed media girl, I cross stitch, and play with diamond painting. I sell My greeting cards. It's so awesone to have everything in on spot that is both functional and pretty!

My husband put it together. Took him about a day and a half. In the beginning was a little difficult but once he got the hang of it, wasn’t too bad.

It took probably 2 days with one working and after a few minor adjustments it was complete

I opened my outside box and so far have found 4 notices of things not included. Important things like table legs, open swing door magnet and catch, dividers and totes. How am I supposed to construct and use when you have not sent me all the parts I paid for over a month ago?

We could never complete the build since we never received shelf pegs and a shelf peg tool for over a month now.

Instructions easy to follow 99% of the time, easy to read font size and ink saturation helpful on these aging eyes. Parts package clearly making it easy to get out just what you needed without guessing. Directions do need to be updated as the 3x13 board is not available for placement of the divider board, time was wasted looking for it. What I did to make sure the holes were in alignment I used a drill bit smaller in width then the screw to align the holes insuring the screw would go in correctly. The Facebook group was a tremendous help with the few questions I had. I left a post with my tips in hopes that it will help someone.

Need to update the the assembly instructions other than that unit is great

Love the box. The only issue we had assembling it together was one part that stated on the direction but it wasn’t there. Actually it was changed but now noted on the instructions. Another thing was the plastic tracks to hold the wooden shelves the little support in the back will pop when inserting. When we originally purchased the creative dreambox the picture showed wooden shelves all around. But we received plastic tracks instead.

I’m still working on it but I love having everything in one place, instead of 3 different floors. It’s taking me awhile to organize it because I keep changing my mind. One day it will be pretty

DIY assembly is definitely worth it. It is fairly easy to assemble if you have experience assembling furniture. Several steps do require 2 people, but none of it was particularly hard. My only complaint is that some of the products have been upgraded..and that part is great, but the instructions were not updated. That did cause some confusion as we were looking for parts that were no longer included.

The DIY build was pretty easy for the most part. If I had received the correct instruction packet it would have been even easier but I spent about 40 mins looking for pieces I thought I dropped or lost and the whole time they weren’t included because the instructions changed. Altogether, we finished it in 6 hours not including breaks. It’s not that bad.

Since I am inept at computers and the iPad I hope I am not repeating myself. My husband assembled my Dream Box. He found it very well put together, with quality hardware (except the shelf pins), understandable instructions, and precise and accurate predrilled holes for screws and pins. . ,

Save your marriage and purchase a pre-built. They item comes in a lot of pieces, instructions lack and it took hours )almost 10, to assemble.

We just set it up and it's not quite finished yet. Still have to put the crown on it and all the bins in. We ran into a few problems along the way. I LOVE the cabinet and can't wait to get it ALL finished and all my stuff situated so I can start scrapbooking. I think it's very well made and it came very well packed and I only had 1 acrylic box that was damaged inside the crate (don't know HOW it happened-it was the top box in the stack and I couldn't tell what might have caused it). I haven't had a chance to use it yet so I can't comment on the particulars but I'm excited to have that chance. I feel it is WELL worth the money for what you get. These are my pros. Now for my cons which have to do with the few problems we ran into: 1- I felt the directions were a little confusing at times-we had to read & reread some of them several times and redo some of the items. 2- We had items that didn't work/fit correctly-may have been due to an error on our part because of misunderstanding the instructions (?). 3- I can't find instructions on how to attach the crown. 4- Along that line, I've checked online and can't find a tutorial, which would be nice, to walk you through the set up of the box or troubleshooting. 5- When I went to fold up my table & latch it to close my box, the table leans out too much and prevents the swing-boxes from being able to close-up. I can find no place to troubleshoot if I made an error in set-up or not. So, aside from these technical issues that leave me stuck in limbo, I do LOVE my box and can't wait to finish it up and get down to business.

The plastic shelf pegs was a terrible design. They are not match the holes at all. It took me a very long time to build every pieces together. If give me another chance, I wouldn’t buy it again.

The order was ready on the 15th, and the notification was sent on email. There was a text message that confirmed my order, but not a follow up text to say my order was ready for pick up. The pick up was chaotic and my items were put in a bag, not boxed and ready- disappointed in Crate and Barrel level of seamless order to pick up.

I have been waiting over 4 years to get this item and I’m loving it.

Put together except the tedious and hard it put in plastic pegs on opposing sides. Even with the tool to put them in it was too painful to do more than a couple of drawers a day. It is not good for anyone with arthritis. The cost is enough to upgrade the pegs to metal ones that fit right in without any pain or hassle.

I knew I couldn't put the Dreambox together myself, so I called my handyman and assisted him in assembling it. Everything fit properly, so there was no jockeying it around; if a part didn't fit right, it was backwards, so we turned it around, and it went into place easily. It did take us about 10 hours to do it with just the two of us, him doing most of it and calling me in when he needed something steadied, but we got it done!

We took the assembly process in stages. My husband and I worked on it several nights after work and before long it was completely assembled and ready to fill with all of my fun crafting "ingredients!" Kitchens have cupboards.....craft rooms have Dream Boxes!!!

So happy with the purchase of my Create Room. I do a lot of craft, primary sewing, have two sewing machines, but also like to crochet and knit, and write... needed a place to keep everything organized and handy, this is the perfect furniture to displayed all the materials and locate what's I need. Thanks teams for this amazing invention...

Still waiting on missing medium boxes

Instructions were very clear and I was able to do most of it myself. I am a 53 year old woman, so that says a lot

The directions were well written and clear.I had 2 issues with the pre drilled holes; 1) I was able to fix myself and 2 I had to stop and wait for new board. I still have an issue with the table legs that still has not been resolved. I sent pictures and still have not heard back. The table legs are not secure making it difficult to close the unit. Although the first 2 issues were resolved, it add 2 weeks before the project could be completed.

Assembly was easy but you do need a partner. I would have loved the pre build option but the DB is housed in our attic and a pre build would have meant we had to hire help to get up there. Other than loading it to the attic it instructions were easy to follow

I haven’t been able to assembly the dream box since I haven’t received all of the back ordered items.

This cabinet is a beast! It can hold so much more than you can imagine. I’ve been working to organize my crafts for a while now and I still have so much room left. With the pandemic it was a little slow getting here but talking to them their chat feature online was super fast and easy. They have been nothing but friendly and helpful when I’ve reached out to them. I would recommend this to anyone looking to organize their crafts in a compact way.

well we recieved the unit but we are missing some other items on back order....totes and shelves, just wondering when we will get them,we paid a lot of money for this unit and would like to fill it with crafting items but we need the items we paid for

The directions are very useful in putting the Create Room together. It is helpful as the directions indicate to have a friend or a very wonderful husband.

We found the quality of the unit to be average. For the price, and based on reviews, and being made in the USA, we thought that we would be receiving a better quality piece of cabinetry than we did. As far as the DIY instructions, we still struggled a little bit, troubleshot, and even asked the helpline for assistance. My husband is quite the carpenter, so we were surprised that it was as challenging to follow as it was. Perhaps an online tutorial of someone putting it together (albeit in stages since it would understandably be very long) would be helpful to really see on video the right way to put it together.

It is a challenge to DIY , with help of my nephew we did. But I recommend get it particially put together. The space is wonderful, so many different cubbies to put all things in. I am really loving it!!

It went together very quickly. Instructions were easy to follow. I would suggest the written instructions be put in the hardware box however. We didn’t find them in the shelf bundle until we were finished.

The instructions are not detailed enough. We ended up trial and error but got it together in the end.

Assembly wasn’t too bad. It was pretty fun to see the entire unit come together. Had to pause building it as it didn’t come with the legs for the tables. Had to wait almost a month to get them.

Assembly was pretty easy. I was sent several mislabeled parts which made the process more difficult than it needed to be but I managed and got it put together in about 6 hours by myself. Overall I love it and can’t wait for the rest of the pieces so I can really use it.

I'm loving my Dreambox. It holds a ton of supplies and keeps things organized. Now all I have to do is remember where I put everything! That might take a while. But having everything where I can see it is great. The clear totes are just what I need not to lose track of where supplies are. This is perfect.

Do it yourself was the way to go for me. We had no problem putting it together - took us about 6 hrs from start to finish. By DIY I was able to use the $400 for a Cricut Maker.

There were some issues understanding the instructions. I am not fond of the pegs but will work with them.

I love love love my dream box. I am so very fortunate to be able to own one. Just to be able to have my tools in one place and to be able to grow into it is just a dream. The only thing I wish I had done was pay for it to arrive assembled. Everything came well packaged and extremely organized however it is a lot. It took up 2 days to put it together. I tried to save money by assembling myself but never again. There were some manufacturer defects that we had to work around but I really am too excited to care. It doesn’t ruin the structure or being able to move the box so I’m cool. I’m happy.

The table locks are not placed correctly. When the barrel locks are engaged the table sticks out at an angle. When the table is pushed back into the box the front doors do NOT CLOSE. I also ordered the shaker style and that is not what I received. SO in all I'm pretty unhappy. The packaging was done very well. nothing was broken or damaged, but in the end I did not receive the right product and the one that I have is defective.

It took quite a long time to get it out of the parking lot, up the stairs to my apartment, put it together and sort, sort, short, and sort my things to go in it and give away things I'll never use, but FINALLY today I can say I'm done.

If I had it to do over, the factory assembly would be our choice. Instructions were very clear but the time it took would have made the $400 worth it .

The only thing that was disappointing was the fact that we have still not received all the parts that come with the dreambox. We even reached out via email and no one has emailed back. For a product that cost this much, at least give the customers a timeframe of when the missing products will be in, and definitely email them back.

It took two of us only about 8 hours to build the Dream Box. The instructions were mostly clear and the pictures were helpful. Our assembly was over several nights. (With the Florida heat, we had to wait until the evening cooled off to below 90 to work on the project.) And, don't try this alone!

My sister put the entire box together. The instructions were very easy to follow and the packaging was great. I’m very happy with the product.

I will say I did the assembly myself in steps (I took 3 days working about 5 hours each day) and it was perfect. I only had a few scratches lol... The instructions were perfect and all the tools I needed were there. I especially liked that you get a few more of the items to keep in case something happens ( I broke one of the pegs).

Putting it together was not difficult at all. With the step by step instructions it was very easy and only took me around 16-17 hours total.

It was hard work but I put my dreambox together mostly by myself. I love having all my crafts organized and in one spot.

The product itself is great. Well made and convenient. Anytime I spoke to a live person, she was extremely polite and helpful. My only problem with the product was that three of the pieces had holes drilled in the wrong places. Two we took care of ourselves by drilling new holes but one required replacement. That delayed finishing assembly by over a week on top of the long time it took to get the original shipment. Considering the price, I would not expect there to be three mistakes. Also would like to be able to purchase additional shelves with out containers which I could not find on the web site. Thank you.

Absolutely love my dream box and tables. It took several hours to put together but the instructions were good. It is great engineering and everything went together smoothly. It hold all of my crafts nice and organized. I love that the table is adjustable for sitting or standing. The only thing that is a bit of a drawback is my side tables are a bit heavy to move. They are very sturdy which is nice. However I can see some older customers or those with disabilities may have some trouble putting them on and taking them off. For now I have decided to just leave them in place with the cabinet open.

I have wanted this for years and I was not disappointed! The Dreambox is just that, a dream. Now everything has a place and is so organized. It makes it so much easier to see all my stuff, no more forgotten projects. I did the DIY method for assembly and it did take me a couple of days, working on it after I got home from work. The packaging was the most organized I've ever seen. Each section was packaged together with clear instructions, all you had to do was go in order.

For the most part the directions were very easy to follow. There were only a few areas that were hard to follow or tell from the picture where the parts were supposed to go or which direction was the top. I took 2 evenings to put the dreambox together and another evening to put the cart together.

My son mainly assembled it for me. He did a great job. I got both the dream box and the sewing station and it took about two days total for both of them.

My hubby and son in law put it together for me and overall it was relatively easy to put together, just time consuming. The directions they said in a few places could be made clearer. They had to make a couple adjustments as the magnets didn’t line up quite right. But for them it was ok!

I love to be organized when card making and the dream box makes it so easy! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to organize their crafting materials into a small compact space. I love I can change my configuration to meet my storage needs and would recommend the purchase of the 80 container option as that expands your capabilities! My only regret is that I purchased the crown. I’m very disappointed in it because for the money, it is not elaborate or decorative at all. It just holds a small light bar, which I DO love. But there are other more cost-effective purchases for task lighting I could have pursued. I should have looked at the picture more carefully because it is not worth the additional $299.

It wasn’t so bad. The instructions were clear and everything went well.

My husband assembled the Scrapbox for me. He was delighted with the thorough instructions and even commented after it was complete; "That was fun and easy". Being a carpenter who can be frustrated by manufacturer's instructions that was high praise. You will need time, several hours. You will need space to pull everything out of the packaging and group your items in order of assembly. If you have the time and space to go it on your own, do it. If you don't have time and space, opt for the "almost complete" option. We are both well pleased. I have a studio and he has his man cave/ workshop emptied of my artistic endeavors.

My granddaughters and brother-in-law done the assembly. They didn't have any trouble and had a good time with it. I love my dreambox. I've gotten most of my many different craft materials in it. Still need to spend time with organization. I sit yesterday at the table and made a card for the 1st time. That table is awesome and the crown with lite is amazing. Love love the dreambox.

The assembly wasn't that bad. I went slow and took my time. I did not have a second person help me, but I agree that having a second set of hands is invaluable.

The assembly was not easy at all! But the assembled product is great! It helps keeps everything very organized. The side tables are a little difficult to put in place but overall I’m very happy.

It took 3 people 8 hours to put it together. Some directions were incomplete. First we were not told about seating the screws for the wheels, which is the first step. It was a week before we knew that little tidbit. I paid $240 to get it done . So you might as well pay the $250 create-a-room charges for assembly and be done with it. It does fold up nicely. I'm still unpacking and sorting my "stuff" and haven't actually made any cards yet. I like that the bins are clear and items can be seen easily. It is definitely a work in progress but it is progress. It will be worth it.

The packaging and directions made this way easier than I thought it would be. When the crate was delivered I was intimidated! My 16 year old carried it all in the house after I opened the crate and he help move the big pieces. It was an all day project if you’re putting the shelves and bins in the same day. If not it was about 6-7 hours.

This is an amazingly designed product. I've had it for a few weeks and don't know what I use to do before I "moved in". Order: It was easy to order. The rep I connected with on the chat quickly sent me different dimensions so I could assess if I had the real estate in a room to put it. I chose to have it sent in pieces as I wanted it upstairs. The weight would be too difficult to bring it upstairs completely constructed. After the order, I was given suggestions on getting ready for the delivery. Delivery: Their vendor was great. They contacted me two days prior and gave me a specific time frame for delivery, which they texted 30 minutes prior and got to my house right on time. I had emptied my garage to have a spot for it to be left. The crate requires a hammer and a crowbar to open. I had three strong individuals help bring all of the bundles upstairs. Construction: I had a small glitch with the construction. The product comes in several bundles. Not all bundles are separate. And the ones bundled together are not contiguous. The parts are well thought out. The pegs for the shelves are half rounds so they fit well if you want to use the same peg for both sides of the wall. Moving in: This is fun! I quilt, bead, and stamp. I got everything into the CreateRoom!!! I found things I didn't know I had while moving in. I recommend the LED light with the Crown. I added a measuring tape on one side so I can measure out elastic, ribbon, etc. and cut it. Use: I refer to this as Mary Poppin's satchel. My daughter comes over and "shops" in mom's box and finds everything she needs. I highly recommend the CreateRoom. Read the material they give you before you order. This helps you prepare for the delivery and construction. Have fun creating!

The instructions were very clear and accurate. It was very rewarding to see the final product.

I love the DreamBox and it had very easy to understand assembly directions. I do feel that the pegs to put the shelves in are very cheap and really hard. I am very disappointed in that aspect.

I am 68 and have never put together anythi ng this complicated. So much hardware and so many parts. Thank goodness my son and daughter-in-law stepped in and put it together. Instructions were good but if you have the extra money, get it assembled at the factory.

Be sure to wear gloves as we had small cuts all over our hands.

We are in our 70’s, and have assembled many things in our 55 years of marriage. This one was a fun project and we were pleasantly surprised by how well everything fit together. The instructions were easy to read (there was one package mismarked but we figured it out). Everything lined up perfectly, and went together like clockwork. It took us 5 days, start to finish, working on it about 4 hours a day.

The DIY took about 5 to 6 hours and that was with 2 people. We decided if we had to do it again, we'd splurge and get the prebuilt.

It took three days to complete assemble. Pieces were placed and separated in order of the map instructions, which made it easier to put together.

Did not realize I would not get enough shelves for a cabinet I paid over 2000. Dollars for. And to go back and get the 200. Upgrade they now want to charge you 350. Which I believe is a big RIP off. I would never buy this item a second time.

My husband (with a little help from me) assembled and set up in two afternoons (about 10-11 man-hours total). I spent the savings on accessories !!

My husband put mine together by himself with VERY little help from me. It took him about a week to do it because he only worked on it in the evenings but I was not in a great hurry to get it done so that was fine. He complained about a couple of things but mostly it went together very easily and I am so happy with it.

It is quite the task. Hired someone on Handy App and it cost me $500 and took him 8 hours to put it together. Still better then paying $500 for the semi built option and then having another 1-3 hours to assemble. Would have preferred to pay $500 to Your company and have it show up completely assembled and ready to go.

The directions for the outside are really good once you get the hang of it. Drawings were EXTREMELY helpful. Just wish there were directions on putting the inside together too. Yes. The inside is completely customizable. There is even a drawing on how to best organize your Dreambox. Which I chose to use....mostly. But it would be nice to know how to put the shelves in the doors for example. Yes. The nice ziplock bags that all the hardware comes in are labeled, but the labels can be confusing.

I can't say it wasn't an involved process to put the Dream Box together, but I can say it was a well thought out design and everything fit. One problem we had (which was our fault) was that we didn't unload the entire crate before starting to put things together. Something we needed was on the bottom of the pile and it through us off for a while trying to figure it out. My husband is good about putting things together and I enjoy working with him as his apprentice. I'm good with tools but not great at conceptualizing. I find it more difficult lately where most instructions just have pictures instead of the written word.

Put it together by myself. Should have probably not done it after I’d been up for over 24 hrs. Overall pretty easy to assemble. Parts come labeled in different packages for different steps so it isn’t as confusing as if you just got a huge box of boards and screws.

This is an awesome piece of organized furniture. I absolutely love it. Although it two days to put together it is well worth the time and effort. I’m still getting things organized into it so it’s still a work in progress.

I really have mixed feelings about my dreambox. I absolutely love all the storage it offers. Everything but my canvas is now housed in my dreambox. On the other hand the box has a few issues I'm not very happy with like when I ordered the shaker style it showed it having slats of wood on the front panels and the crown molding actually looked like crowned molding with beveled edges. What I got was absolutely not the same thing at all. Had I been informed that I wouldn't get the nicer crown molding I would have just bought the cheaper version, saving a few hundred bucks. The table is a great surface to work on but the legs are tricky as is locking it in the upper position when you need to reach the lower shelves. I still can't get one side to lock. The shelves lock into place firmly on most of my unit, but there are still several that are loose but the company just sent me screws instead of something to actually remedy the problem. The bottom line is there just isn't anything else on the market that compares to the dreambox and it really is nice having all your stuff in one spot. But if I had it to do over again I would have waited until they are not having so many issues with so many orders. Joining their Facebook group will really help you to decide if it's right for you. Bottom line, it is too expensive of a piece of furniture for it to have so many issues out of the gate the way it currently does.

It made the set up an absolute breeze. I was able to start filling it up within an hour of unboxing. All joy and no toil.I highly recommend it.

I love my dreambox! Having so much fun organizing things. It holds much more than I even expected- now I room to even buy more supplies (don't tell my husband LOL) Having the prebuilt service was the only way to go in my opinion can't imagine how long it would take for us to put it together - price is a bargain in my opinion.

I was so excited when my box was delivered. The delivery man was curious as to what it was, but did not stick around long enough to help us unpack it, LOL. Everything was packed so nicely, and everything was accounted for. I cannot imagine having to have put it all together from scratch, and certainly recommend having it prebuilt. I have enjoyed putting all of my craft items away, but still agonize over how to properly put things together in a way that makes sense, since so many of my crafts need the same tools, materials, etc. Thank goodness I can just grab a drawer and move it to a different location (and back again if I change my mind). I cannot tell you how happy I am with this purchase!

Everything has its own place. I can see everything I have and better yet, it's right there to remind me to use it! Love it.

Loved my pre-built dreambox. It made it so much easier and less overwhelming to get my craft sewing room in order. It was worth spending the extra money. I depend on my husband to put things together and due to shoulder surgeries it would have been too taxing on him. Having the prebuilt unit eliminated much frustration.

THIS IS A MUST HAVE! Worth every penny! To be able to just attach two sides and be off and creating was a dream!!

I can't imagine putting this thing together without the pre-built service. I was pleased that we didn't have 6000 pieces to put together, but for the price of the pre-built service, I would have loved it if every single piece didn't have inventory stickers on them. They were very difficult to remove (ultimately used a combination of a hair dryer, rubbing alcohol, and a xyron adhesive remover.) There are many nicks which I will use the touch-up paint to hopefully fix, and the panels don't fit all the way into the doors. Also, four of the holes in the small compartment area weren't drilled completely and they are now impossible to fix making two slots unusable. But, overall, happy that we didn't have to put the entire thing together.

I ordered it prebuilt but the table folds up but I’m not able to close the box as the holes for the latches to keep it up are too close to doors and they can’t close

It was delivered almost to our back door. My husband and i were able to move the box and side pieces into the house without any problem. The only thing i would suggest is to make sure the arrows referred to in the instructions are actually on the cabinet.

brother in law purchased one for my sister and she loves it. He told me the only issue was putting it together. Not that it was difficult but more so it was time consuming as he was for the most part , the only participant in putting it together. LOL.. I bought one for my wife and paid the extra fee for the prebuild and I am loving it as it was for simple and didn't take much of my time. Money well spent.

I ordered the dream box and the 49 tote upgrade. The dream box came with the new tracking system but the upgrade came with the shelves and pegs. The tracking system makes it difficult to have a tray at the same level as the notion side.

It has been a wonderful experience. I love it! So much fun to load as I found all sorts of items that I forgot I had. Thanks for making such a great product.

If you are going to buy one of these boxes, yes, it is expensive, but it is worth it. I think the price of this whole DreamBox (and I know it was my choice) is way too expensive for what you get. The people who have been given them for free will certainly say it is the greatest thing they have every had.

I was excited to receive this and waited for months. Overall it offers what I want. The plastic bins/totes are a little thin and flex with moderate weight. A few of them were cracked. The dividers to create compartments are a bit lacking in design. It does not insert firmly so it moves around when the contents bump the dividers. The tray inserts are also of the same flimsy quality. I got the white shaker and added the light. The colors differ. The light fixture is whiter than the cabinet itself so it does not look seamless or custom-built. The light looks like an afterthought. I was also disappointed that each board had the part labels/ stickers on them. It was a hassle to remove as it did not peel easily and it left a sticky mess. For the cost of having it preassembled, I expected to receive the furniture without those stickers. I do not know if my expectations are off. It took way too long and I finally gave up dealing with them. I have a great functional cabinet. The light fixture does not match the paint on the cabinet. The bins were a bit flimsy. There were assembly stickers on every single board that left a mess and dirty residue. (In my opinion, it cheapened the appearance because it made me feel like it came from Home Depot.) Sure hope this feedback helps.

Wouldn't have done it any other way. If you can afford it, do it. However, I'd imagine you'd get it sooner, but the time it takes to put it together is the time you'd get it already done without the headache

I love my "dreambox" cabinet. I'm in the process of reorganizing my craft room, placing items in my cabinet...there's so much more room than I thought!

Couldn’t have done it by ourselves.. No regrets!

Ordered in early August and didn't get box until December and that was after many phone calls and emails! The delivery was well done. The driver was well equipped and placed it carefully in our garage. The set up was easy too as we got it prebuilt. My major concern is the fold down desk. Seems VERY dangerous as it has suddenly dropped down to the floor from the upright position as I was trying to lock it in place. Its also so deep that you can't reach anything inside. We put large soft bumpers on the edge of it. Very poor design. Ended up with lots of tracks for deeper trays but not enough trays. Will have to count how many bins I actually got because I did order the extra bins pkg. Seem like it will fit most of my art supplies and I've used the side cart for my sewing things. Still some larger things like cutting pads and such that don't fit anywhere.

It was nice to have the prebuilt but was really heavy so consider that if putting upstairs.

Now I am so organized. Lots of room for several different crafts.

Was so glad that I had gotten this prebuilt my husband was the one to put this together for me and he said absolutely well worth spending the extra money to get it prebuilt !!

More of the box could have been put together. For the extra $500, I should not have had to hire help to get it into my house and put the rest of it together. I took me an entire day to put the shelves in, and had I had the tote tracks that should have been included, it would not have taken me all day to do this.

Not as thrilled as i had hoped. The desk is really heavy and you cant lock it and close it because the locks were made to far back. To out the desk in the bottom i have to push it n the roll position and shove it in and lift it. The legs dont stay when you fold them in and makes it hard to close. I may have to remove the desk and use a card table instead. I still haven't received all the totes so cant put it all together.

Was extremely well protected; very impressed with the way it was packaged and delivered. It was relatively easy to put the 3 main components together. Instructions from deconstructing the original crate to putting it all together were well written and easy to follow.

I was glad that I had chosen the prebuilt option but we did need to disassemble part of the middle section because it was too heavy and large to be carried inside and up the stairs. The reassembly was straight- forward.

The pre-built in idea was great for me!! It made it easy for my 14 year old grandson to put it together for me!!!

It was awesome to have the pre-built option, if not I think we will still be building the box.

Do yourself a favor and just pay for the pre-built service! I was up and running and organizing in about an hour's time after uncrating the pieces. Everything arrived in one piece/no damage at all. Delivery was delayed (likely owing to pandemic). My only complaint is that the moment they knew they were not going to be able to deliver by the previously estimated date, they should have informed the customer and continued to inform the customer once that date was blown past.

A thing or two a little off, however ok for now until I get completely set up. Very, very heavy when there are NO men to help. Especially up the stairs of a 120 year old house. So far ok. Probably would have been better to assemble at home. Live and learn for future.

So glad I chose prebuild. It was worth the cost. Only took an hour to attach the cabinets to each other, and to put the crown on.

I can’t express enough how I love this Dream Box! I have a very small space and I have a lot of painting and sewing supplies. My supplies were everywhere in boxes and now everything is neatly and beautifully stored. I love I have a workspace with everything at my fingertips and when I’m done I just close it up and it’s a beautiful piece of furniture! More important, customer service is outstanding. American made; and an American answering the phones I can actually understand and they respond quickly.

As of yet I am not thoroughly impressed with my much anticipated DREAM Box. 1) I was not told when I ordered it that it would take longer than the six weeks that I was told when I ordered it 2) when it still had not arrived - and the weather personnel in my region had forecast snow the next week - I had to contact you about possibly canceling my dream box. Miraculously I had my dream box in a week 3) upon opening the crate i was informed THEN that parts of it were on backorder; ie, the large totes and medium totes with dividers 4) upon putting together the dream box we broke more of those plastic shelf holders than I had left. Can you send me more of those - i didnt see where I could purchase about 200 more of them. We have never tried to put something together that was so difficult to do. Those shelf holders are so chintzy and break with hardly any pressure at all on them trying to place the shelves in 5) in the directions no where was the info that stated it would help IMMENSELY for us to start placing the shelves in the middle section and work out from there as the boards were warped and the shelves would only go in in that configuration 6) kind of hard to even start placing my items in the dreambox in the places I want them in when I didnt receive all the parts 7) I received my large totes yesterday (so excited - I can put more stuff away, yay! No! 5 of them have cracks in the corners of them!) No use to me broken. Do I send them back to you, use them for target practice or what? 8) am I sounding a little disappointed yet because I am greatly disappointed and my husband is really regretting his decision to buy this for me, even after me wanting this for four years. We are on a very fixed income and it took alot of scrimping and saving for us to get the money to pay for this. If we hadn't already gotten as far as we have in building it I really believe my husband would say send it back and he'd buy the things needed to make what I wanted. The ball is in your court now. Its up to you to make me and my husband happy with this expensive piece of furniture. A) I need replacements for the 5 cracked large totes B) I need a large amount of those plastic shelf holders C) I need my medium totes with dividers How do i send you a photo of the broken totes? As my husband doesn't have much down time, or handyman skills, this service was wonderful for us. It took no time at all to piece my Dreambox together and I was ready to install pegs, shelves, and totes. Thank you so very much!

The pre-built unit arrived right on schedule! I love organizing all of my items in one place and there is a lot of storage! When my unit arrived with a damaged fastener, Customer Service sent out a replacement immediately! Everything else arrived in perfect condition. This company is awesome and I would recommend them to anyone interested in an amazing unit!

My order arrived with visible damage to the right box. The material was split in places due to what looked like over tightening the screws during the build process. And the back panel was loose indicating that it had not been properly installed. I contacted customer service. They responded quickly and communicated with me several times to make sure they understood what pieces were affected. Then they sent out a replacement right box. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Overall, I am pleased with the prebuilt service. Instead of a matter of days, it was a matter of hours before I was was organizing and filling up my Dreambox! I agree with other reviews that the plastic shelf support pins could use redesign. It’s not easy to seat the shelves properly and I broke more than one peg in the process. But all in all a great product.

I was so thrilled when my DreamBox was delivered. Thank goodness it was purchased pre assembled. There was a full diagram that my husband download. While waiting for the DreamBox, I wrote on the diagram where I was going to put what. That made it so much better when it was time to be filled-I basically knew what was going to go where.

It’s good, but “prebuilt” means you still have a lot to do. It took me almost 5 hours, not the 1-1 /2 hours advertised. Some of the narrower sections are VERY difficult to get the shelves in. I have small arms but it was hard to get them snapped into place. I am not a fan of the plastic clips - wish they were metal and more durable. I love my dream box and all the storage though.

We considered doing it ourselves but are glad we paid the extra for the assembly because that took us plenty long on it's own

I can't imagine having to put the whole thing together. All we had to was connect the pieces. We had alot of fun putting in the interior pieces and that a lot of time. So glad we did the pre built.

I like the dream box but the shelves were hard to, put in and some of the pegs snapped off in the hole and now I can’t put a shelf in that spot.

The prebuilt service saved so much time putting the box together and taking the 3 pieces out of the crate took very little time.

I really love it, but The lock on my table is defective, I called customer support the are sending me a new one.

Just starting to fill it up. Had a few minor problems such as the center table kept dropping the locks did not keep it in place, nearly lost my fingers. Customer Service was good but for that much money should not have had that many issues. I love the sturdy build in fact sometimes it is to heavy. I would change some things but for the most part I like it. You will see what I would change in my other reviews. I am a paper crafter.

It was very easy for my husband and me to put together. It's very well built and the instructions are very clear. I highly recommend opting for the pre-built service.

Have had continual problems with the the table staying locked in. It has already chipped from falling inside the cabinet. This has happened at least a half dozen times. Putting in the doors so that they close level and not rub on the crown molding was also a chore. Those two things have tainted a perfect box. My wife loves it but is disappointed about those two issues.

Super well built, comes protected and packed to prevent any possible damage. Looks a little daunting as you see it come in size with all the extras, but once you put the main pieces together, you realize you just have to crack away at setting it up to your specific needs. I can't wait to start using it after I fill it up!

Personally I would not have tackled the complete building of the Box! The prebuilt was a great choice and with the additional savings during the Mother's Day Sale it was well worth the money.

I love it. We had it delivered pre-built and it was worth it. Beware it is heavy to carry. You will need help with that process. I've never had a craft room so organized. Thank You.

I’m so glad I chose the pre built option, I wish I could have hired someone to uncrate and do the remainder of the assembly in my home! My husband nor I are “do it yourself-ers “ so this option is a must for people like us!

I don't think my dreambox was prebuilt. I had to assemble all the shelves, brackets, etc. I was very disappointed in this option especially for the cost.

That was a life saver. I think it was worth the$$ if you can afford it. My husband has no patient so he was the one who said. Pay for it so I don't have to do it. You just need two big guys to carry it.

Super appreciated this service - as a Momma with two kids who would have thrown/lost/swallowed some of those pieces before I could've gotten it all together. The Prebuilt service got me to the final "Oooohhh... Ahhhh!" much quicker!

It took much longer to put together than we’d expected. So happy we got the prebuilt service because building it from scratch would have been too much, but even with the prebuilt pieces it took us over 6 hours to put together. Some more detailed instructions (I think more illustrations not necessarily more words) would be really very helpful. Also perhaps add an option to choose a set up for the prebuilt, getting the pegs in was much harder on some areas once built and I would have happily spent a bit more to customize some of that ahead.

Live my Dreambox! I didn’t have room for the extra side tables I ordered, so I don’t really know how those work. Maybe one day I’ll get a she shed and be able to set them up! But as for everything else I LOVE it! So worth the investment. I have a spot for everything

It was extremely heavy. The idea of it already put together was wonderful. It did save a lot of time and energy. The energy had to be used in moving it piece by piece to the room where I put it. It holds so many items. I am able to use the top for additional storage.

I think it would be even easier to lift the table that is attached to the unit if there were a strap to help pull it up just so it wouldn't possibly pinch your fingers or hand. Because sometimes when the doors are closed the table may lower too close to the unit to get your hands under it.

I was pretty nervous when the crate arrived, I wasn't sure what to expect. But I'm enjoying putting all the shelves where I want them to be. The only thing is, the pegs are a little more difficult then they need to be. The peg tool isn't much help either. The pegs get stuck in the tool. I find a small a pair of jewelry pliers and a jeweler's hammer were far more effective.

Love the new addition to my craft room. It has helped me be more organized than I ever have been in the past. I'm glad it was prebuilt but it was awkward and heavy to move. The driver was kind enough to place it in a good spot from which to work. The additional tables are a disappointment to me because they are separate and very heavy. It would be difficult for me to put them up without help. I don't know if I'll use them. I think perhaps it would help if you made it clear that they are separate and require installation at every use.

Sooo glad I did the pre-built and upgrade package for selves. It still takes help And time to unbox and set up. Videos they provide are supper helpful. I had my yarn in bins stuck in the closet and it was so hard to know what I had where. As I unpacked and placed my yarn in the DreamBox I matched a lot of it up with patterns. So much better. I can attach my ball wonder and shift to the table easily. I use the bottom part to store these items and my sewing machine and blocking supplies. Only trouble I had was in placing the selves in the little clips, that was a little tricky and frustrating, A few went in easily but I had to lightly use a hammer to get them to lock to each other. Some broke but they include extra. I was short one clear bin, I emailed customer service and they sent it right out.

I highly recommend the pre-built. So worth the time you save. BUT do take into account if you are taking it UPSTAIRS. It is more difficult to get upstairs even in 3 pieces. Make sure you have 2-3 strong men to get it upstairs. If your worried about that then put it together yourself. Other than that thought I LOVED how fast it all came together!

Love it. Love it. Love it. So glad I ordered it pre-built. I haven't even filled it up yet. Still work in progress. The totes are so well made. Looking forward to my first project. It will be very soon. Can't wait!!!

It saved us hours!!!

I don't have it together yet. I had to order floor mats because the screw holes did not line up on each piece. I just got the mats today and I'm excited to begin putting this baby together. I'll let you know! Oh wait, I might not be able to let you know because I'm completing this now. Well, so far I love it, but it's not together yet! Can't wait!

It arrived on time. Was very well crafted and protected. Only one small chip, but disguised with the paint they sent. The only problem I had was with the shelf pins. They are very difficult to snap in. Love the cabinet. It holds almost everything I have. My friends are envious, lol.
