Create Room Crafting Furniture Warranty

At Create Room, we are dedicated to offering top quality crafting furniture that ignites your creativity and enhances your crafting experience. Because of the uniqueness of our furniture, our commitment to excellence is reflected in our warranty, designed to ensure your satisfaction and peace of mind.

Please familiarize yourself with the details below, as many aspects are time sensitive.

Immediate Action: Delivery Inspection 

When your order arrives, look over your package for any exterior damage. If there is damage, follow the instructions below. This step is very important to help us address and resolve any issues quickly.

Furniture Deliveries: For large item deliveries, if you notice any damage to the packaging, please photograph the full delivery, report it right away to the delivery driver, and call our Customer Service team the same day.. 

Small package shipments: Kindly send a photo of the packaging and damages to our Customer Service team. 

Within 5 Business Days of Delivery: Concealed Damage

Inspect your product within 5 business days of delivery for any potential inside damage. Please provide our Customer Service agents with photos of any affected parts. This speedy reporting is important to help you under warranty.

30-Day Coverage: Missing From Order

We aim for the best in every order. However, if you find any incorrect pieces or items missing from your order within 30 calendar days of delivery, we're here to help. This period allows you time to make sure you have everything needed for your crafting setup and that accessories are right. Any issues reported after this, besides manufacturing defects, will not be covered by warranty and will require the customer to pay for parts and shipping.

1-Year: Manufacturing Defect Warranty

Our one-year warranty covers manufacturing defects that may affect the use and assembly of your furniture. This includes issues where a part was manufactured out of standard, not made correctly, such as holes drilled wrong, parts not cut straight, wrong size, or edge banding flaws. We understand the importance of having a quality crafting environment, and we're committed to fixing things by providing replacement parts. After 1 year there is no warranty coverage and the customer is required to pay for parts and shipping.

Warranty for Pre-Assembled Sections

If you chose to have your furniture pre-assembled, while we take great care in ensuring your product arrives in quality condition, sometimes the unexpected happens. Should any part within these pre-assembled sections need replacing, our warranty covers the individual parts, making sure you have exactly what you need. Our goal is to keep your crafting space useful and beautiful. Understanding that replacing parts in pre-built furniture can be a bit more complex, our Customer Service team is ready to guide you through the process. Whether you need instructions or tips for services to help with the replacement, we're here to help.

Covered Items

Furniture- DreamBox, SewStation with lift, Dream Cart, Cubby, Side Tables, Crowns with lights and cords; InView Totes, Jars, and hardware that come as part of the integral furniture package are covered. Non-integral accessories are warrantied for 30 calendar days from delivery.

Minor Cosmetic Variances

While we aim for high quality in every piece of Create Room furniture, sometimes the wood we use has slight differences in texture and color. Different weather conditions or machines can impact the material in very tiny ways. As such, the following are not covered under our warranty:

Minor alignment issues in doors and other parts: It’s normal to see a sliver of light between the doors or the doors and the top. Other factors such as changes in humidity, unlevel floors, etc. may also impact alignment. These differences will be within our accepted manufacturing standards and they are not included under warranty.

Shades of color: Our furniture is crafted from high-quality materials from various suppliers, which may result in very slight differences in coloration and shades. These minor variations are sensitive to lighting conditions and individual perception and are within our standard for quality. They are also normal and do not affect the quality of the furniture.

Beyond Warranty Support

After the warranty period, we're still here to help. Parts and shipping costs will be the customer's responsibility, and availability of specific parts isn’t guaranteed.

Discretionary Support

Very rarely, it costs more to fix a problem than the order value, or we can’t fix it fast enough or well enough. In these cases, Create Room can choose to give you a proportional discount or give you back your money, minus the shipping costs and 10% for restocking fees. Safety Information

Wall Attachment

WARNING: Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from tipping furniture.

It is advised that ALL free-standing, heavy furniture be anchored to your wall to prevent tipping accidents caused by an earthquake, curious children, or another incident.

DreamBox 2: Two heavy-duty Safety Brackets with attachment hardware and installation instructions are included. If for whatever reason you have not received this with your DreamBox 2, reach out to our customer service team before beginning assembly at (801) 226-2686. Pilot holes have been pre-drilled on the top of the DreamBox 2 Center Box. Safety Brackets MUST be attached for safety. When applying the brackets to the wall, locate a stud using a stud finder tool and install using the provided hardware.

All other Create Room Furniture: At Create Room we value safety and security in your home. For this reason we have put together a Create Room Security Kit to prevent furniture from tipping. If you have purchased our furniture in the past and did not receive a Security Kit, please contact us at (801) 226-2686 and we will send one to you free of charge. The DreamBox 1 is also compatible with the new Safety Bracket Kit.

Transportation

MOBILE UNIT: CLOSE CABINET WHEN MOVING FURNITURE—Side cabinets add stability. Moving the unit while in the OPEN position, adds risk of the cabinet tipping over. Be sure to have two people to help during assembly.

WARNING: Serious or fatal injuries can occur from tipping furniture. Always use caution when positioning.

Proper Use

ALWAYS FOLLOW PROPER USE INSTRUCTIONS

DreamBox 1, WorkBox, HerHobbyBox: When cabinet is in use, please extend table legs. All tables and table legs must be installed and table legs must be extended. These cabinets are designed to be operated with hideaway tables and folding legs to provide a strong and stable platform. Extending center box table legs will reduce potential hazard. Using these cabinets without the tables or legs properly installed and extended will increase the risk of the cabinet tipping over. 

DreamBox 2: This product was designed without table legs. Proper use requires that the Base Stabilizers MUST be attached to the Center Box Base until the unit has been attached to the wall using the included Safety Brackets. The weight limit guidelines for the DreamBox 2 table are 50 lbs. Fold table away when not in use. 

Weight Distribution

Be aware of weight distribution. Add heavy items to the bottom of the Center Box and Side Boxes.

Please refrain from storing items on top of the Crown Accessory— it is not designed for storage use. Storing items on top of crown may increase the risks of tipping furniture.

Level Floorspace

Create Room cabinets works best on level hardwood-like flooring. Carpet may cause the wheels to catch or drag while in motion. Please use caution moving the cabinet in conditions where flooring may affect the movement of the piece— move unit when all doors are CLOSED.

Warning Stickers

Please see warning stickers provided on packaging and cabinet parts. Safety kits provided with furniture include additional instruction.

Kids + Pets

Kids and pets should never use Create Room furniture unaccompanied. Never let ANYONE hang, climb or sit on Create Room furniture.

When assembling Create Room furniture, please keep kids and pets out of the building zone until all building materials have been cleared and furniture has been attached to the wall with Safety Brackets. There are many hazards they may encounter.

Safety Brackets

It is advised that ALL free-standing, heavy furniture be anchored to your wall to prevent tipping accidents.

The DreamBox 2 Center Box Lid has pre-drilled pilot holes and two heavy-duty Safety Brackets with attachment hardware have been provided. These must be utilized for safety. Installation instructions included.

Stabilizers

Four custom-designed base Stabilizers are provided with the DreamBox 2 package. They slide onto the Center Box and Side Box bases to prevent unwanted rolling and provide additional stability support. These must be attached during assembly for safety and can be removed, if desired, after securing the DreamBox to the wall with the provided Safety Brackets.

Warranty Policies

We understand the importance of having a quality crafting environment, and we're committed to fixing things by providing replacement parts. After 1 year there is no warranty coverage and the customer is required to pay for parts and shipping.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage due to improper assembly, misuse, alterations, normal wear and tear, or accidents by the customer.
  • Shipping damage after the initial inspection period
  • Items reported missing after 30 calendar days from delivery
  • Damage due to improper storage (such as leaving it outside), bad weather, nature, or natural disasters.
  • Other big unexpected events such as war, vandalism, and riots.
  • Damages to personal property from the movement, mishandling, use or misuse of our products
  • Damages from the use of wheeled furniture on rough or uneven surfaces; we recommend using these products on smooth surfaces to keep them working right.
  • Separate line item accessories (after 30 calendar days from delivery) such as Tool Cubbies, Paper Organizers, Crafter’s Caddies, or other items besides those listed in the Covered Items section
  • Plastics and hardware associated with accessories after 30 calendar days from delivery
  • Secondhand (not from Create Room) purchases, donations, giveaways, or employee gifts / awards
  • Shipping to a country we didn’t ship it to is NOT covered for either original products or replacement parts
  • Theft or porch piracy
  • Packaging, shipping pallets, and packaging attachments such as the printed logo
  • Services such as pre-assembly, white glove, Garage Delivery, whether done by us or someone else
  • Items sent to you by another company (not directly from Create Room) such as Minibolts
  • Limited edition products may have different warranties, and will be clearly identified
  • Minor cosmetic variances (see below)

Outside of warranty, customers are responsible for the costs of parts and shipping. We encourage good communication with our team to help us serve you better.

To clean all furniture, use Windex and a soft cloth to wipe away dirt and fingerprints.
